Contract
All purebred puppies come with:
- AKC or APR registration;
- 1 year health guarantee
- Health certificate (if shipped)
- Puppy carrier (if shipped)
HEALTH GUARANTEE:
The purchase of ANY puppy is subject to the following
terms and conditions:
Health
Replacement - All puppies sold by
Ketcham's Cuties will come with current shots
and worming up to 14 weeks
A shot history is included with each puppy -
NO PUPPY will be replaced that fails to have the
proper veterinary care. All puppies must be
examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72
hours of purchasing the puppy. A copy of the
exam (NOT THE BILL) must be mailed to the seller
within 2 weeks of purchase date for any
guarantee to be valid.
Guarantee starts at the date of the actual
purchase.
Congenital
Defects:
If your puppy develops a condition that dates
back to the fetal stage and this condition would
severely impact the quality of life short of
euthanasia; you will receive a replacement
puppy. These conditions are listed and limited
to HEART, KIDNEY and LIVER ONLY and are covered
for 1 year. No other condition is covered in
this contract.
Hypoglycemia:
If you are going to become a toy dog owner
you will want to familiarize yourself to the
symptoms of hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia is often
seen in young toy puppies, and most of the time
the symptoms can be controlled by eating, or by
giving some glucose such as honey water to the
puppy. Glucose is what the body uses as fuel and
is necessary for the brain tissue and muscles to
function.
Hypoglycemia is when
the blood sugar levels (glucose) fail well below
normal. It can cause your puppy to become
confused, disoriented, drowsy, have the shivers,
stagger about, collapse, fall into a coma, or
have seizures. Episodes of hypoglycemia often
occur without warning. A puppy may be
stressed by shipping, a missed meal,
chilled, or even exhaustion from too much play.
Because of their tiny size, toy puppies cannot
eat a lot at one time, and literally run out of
fuel quickly. Puppies should be fed several
times a day high quality diet. Most puppies will
outgrow the problem. Some very tiny dogs will
continue to have bouts of hypoglycemia
throughout their life. If your puppy experiences
episodes of hypoglycemia, it is important to
restore the blood levels of glucose as quickly
as possible. Typical symptoms are:
weakness listlessness
depression staggering gait
tremors
IF YOUR PUPPY is conscious, give
him/her a little white Karo syrup, or honey under its
tongue or rubbed on its gums. DO NOT pour into the mouth
as the puppy could easily choke.
You can also mix honey or corn syrup with pedialite,
stir to dissolve, and dribble it into the puppy's mouth.
NutriCal also works extremely
well in an emergency. The puppy should begin to improve
within about ten (10) minutes - IF NOT contact your vet
as quickly as you can.

HYPOGLYCEMIA ***
Death:
- In case of death, an autopsy stating
the cause of death would be required before a
replacement puppy is considered.
- No money is ever refunded.
- No replacement can be made until ALL
registration papers are returned.
This guarantee is VOID if the puppy is bred before it
reaches 12 months of age.
This contract is for the person purchasing the
puppy only.
In the event this guarantee is exercised, it would be
subject to the availability of another litter as we will
not over breed our females for ANY reason. It cold take
up to one full year from the date we are notified
through a letter from a licensed vet explaining the
medical problems and defining them as a direct genetic
link to our breeding program. You will receive a
replacement puppy of equal value from the next available
litter only. The replacement will be up to the
discretion of the breeder (breeder's choice). If the
same sex of puppy is not available, then if agreeable to
both parties, breeder may replace said puppy with the
opposite sex puppy of equal value, however if not
agreeable to both parties, then buyer must wait for the
first available same gender puppy to be born for their
replacement. (Replacements must be taken from next
available litter, choosing not to will forfeit all
monies paid and guarantee signed by both parties)
Applicant must be filled out correctly before the
delivery of any puppy for any of the guarantee, shipping
information, payment information to be enforced. In case
is it not filled out correctly, it voids the guarantee
and delivery of the registration papers. There are
certain disorders that may be caused by environmental
factors, i.e.: Hypoglycemia, allergies, thyroid
dysfunction, demodectic mange and other autoimmune
disorders that are not covered by this guarantee.
1. The breeder guarantees a healthy companion pet,
but does not guarantee adult size, color, and
temperament - nor does breeder guarantee fitness for
breeding.
2. ALL hernia and all hernia repairs do not warrant
replacement puppy as it is not life threatening and in
no way interferes with the quality of life of the puppy.
3. Registration papers will be supplied or mailed as
soon as the breeder receives them. OPEN or FULL
REGISTRATION on any puppy sold does change the
definition of this contract that you are purchasing a
COMPANION PET and DOES NOT GUARANTEE SIZE, COLOR OR
TEMPERAMENT NOR GUARANTEE FITNESS FOR BREEDING.
4. This contract supersedes any and all previous
agreements.
5. All puppies must remain on a vet scheduled puppy
program for one year; including health check-ups, shots,
etc.
6. IMPORTANT PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ!!!! Changing
your mind or any personal situations that may arise
causing you not to be able to fulfill the contract
forfeits any and all monies paid on this agreed upon
puppy.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR ANY REASON. PLEASE
MAKE SURE THIS IS THE PUPPY YOU WANT BEFORE YOU SEND A
DEPOSIT OR PAY FOR YOUR NEW PUPPY.
AGAIN - MONIES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
7. In the event a puppy should be deemed to not be
healthy or fit for placement while still in the
breeder's care, then a replacement puppy will be
provided. If a puppy is not available from the same
litter or another litter and the puppy's new parents are
not in agreement with the replacement puppy, they will
be guaranteed first pick of the next litter available.
